Boiled Raisin Cake

Directions

Boil raisins slowly in water until there is 1 cup of water left. Allow to cool. Add sugar and egg. Add flour which has been mixed with soda, and spices. Add melted shortening.

Bake 325° for 40-50 minutes. (medium sized pan)

Combine brown sugar + cream in pan. Cook, stirring constantly. Boil 2 min. Beat in icing sugar
